Dear colleagues and friends!
Recently Speech and Language
Therapy in Bulgaria and many Eastern European countries is marking huge changes
in all aspects of theory and practice. Researches and practitioners are
developing new approaches on the basis of best traditional achievements in the
field of prevention, diagnostics and therapy of communication disorders in both
children and adults.
Where we are? What
challenges are we facing and how to develop this highly important scientific
area that has a great effect on normal social functioning of humans? To answer
all these questions is really not possible but we hope the planned Symposium
will be helpful in a way.
The Symposium is organized under
the patronage of SWU Rector Prof. Dr. Ivan Mirchev and is dedicated to two important events: * Year 2011 – The European Year of Hearing, announced by CPLOL (Standing
Liaison Committee
of E.U. Speech and Language
Therapists and Logopedists),
and * 35th anniversary
of South-West University “Neofit Rilski” – Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
The organizers envision a
meeting that will offer professionals from research and educational
institutions in different countries the opportunity to share knowledge,
competences and innovative ideas in the field of communication disorders and
related scientific areas via oral presentations and poster sessions. Even more,
attending the Symposium you will make new professional contacts that could
develop in cooperation and joint project research.
It will be really a pleasure
for us to welcome you in Blagoevgrad, a beautiful city on the south of
Bulgaria, at the end of usually warm and sunny October!
